FAQs
I am new to the school and don’t know any of the other parents.
Parents’ Club is very welcoming; it may appear that the parents’ already involved are old friends, but in fact many did not know each other before joining Parents’ club and have made new friends. Ask another parent from your child’s class to come to Parents’ Club with you and you will make new friends together and make a positive impact on your child’s school life. Everyone is welcome!
What are the benefits of being involved with Parents' Club?
Your child(ren) will be thrilled to know their mum or dad is involved at their school! You will meet many parents and make new friends. It is a great opportunity to also learn new skills or share your skills with others.
How can I get involved?
All BSPS parents are a member of our Parents’ Club. Keep an eye on this page for meeting dates and opportunities to be involved.
Pre-school children and infants are very welcome to come along with you.
Do I need a Working with Children check?
All parents are required to have a valid Working with Children Check (WWC) which can be applied for at your local post office and is free of charge to parents wishing to volunteer in schools. More information can be found at workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
Do I need to be vaccinated?
All visitors to BSPS and those attending our offsite events, will need to adhere to vaccine regulations and Government guidelines.
