Bayswater South Primary School is a vibrant school with a lot of character and history where learning and relationships are the centre of our school life.
We aim to deliver opportunities and experiences which will stay with our students for a lifetime. We live in exciting and fast-changing times and this means that providing an outstanding, progressive, and well-rounded education is more important than ever. As students only pass through school once, we know that their learning foundations must be sound, in preparation for future growth.
Positive relationships are built with the students and their families and our aim is to be a school where students are respected, they love coming to school and they have a voice. We see it as our responsibility to discover and develop the talents of our students, to broaden their interests and to enhance their interpersonal qualities. To do this we develop respect, honesty, empathy, and teamwork.
Our teachers are dedicated, talented and diligent team members who provide outstanding teaching and an English/German bilingual learning program which incorporates the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. Our teaching and learning program is designed around personalisation and inquiry learning. It is our intention to stimulate and challenge our students to enable them to reach their full potential as individuals, members of our community and as citizens of the world.
Because we have high expectations for our students academically, we deliver an innovative curriculum which promotes creativity, curiosity, tolerance and nurtures self-worth and self-expression. Our aim is to open each student’s mind to the rich diversity of the world they are growing up in and challenge them to explore and question everything they find with integrity, honesty, courage, and compassion.
To achieve this vision, we must be:
- Confident in, and committed to, a rigorous academic programme, whilst sensitive to individual abilities and circumstances.
- Able to support our educational programmes through sound governance, the development of staff, community, opportunity, and facilities.
- Ensure that our children are safe, in all school related environments.
We look forward to the beginning of a happy association.
We hope you enjoy your visit and we welcome your interest and feedback and would be pleased to communicate with you further via the website, email or in person.
